Nizar N. Ramzan MD, MMM, CPE, AGAF

A physician executive and a gastroenterologist in practice in Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Ramzan trained at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, followed by an academic career at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He then started his private practice and more recently led the merger of 7 gastroenterology practices to form a larger single-specialty group in metropolitan Phoenix. Dr. Ramzan earned his certification as a physician executive from the American Association for Physician Leadership. Recently he earned a Masters degree in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to further his interest in improving the quality of healthcare. He is the medical director of Arizona Digestive Center, a AAAHC certified ambulatory surgery center. He is the CEO of Unified Initiatives, LLC, which was founded to improve healthcare outcomes and access by utilizing digital and communication technology.

As the co-founder, Faisal brings to the table diverse entrepreneurial experience coupled with a passionate spirit to innovate and improve the status quo. With a degree in International Business and Finance and extensive global entrepreneurial experience, Faisal’s strategic analysis and dynamic vision results in successful startups with seamless execution.
Over the last 15 years, he has built diverse start-up companies. In 1999, he started a garment manufacturing company with only a few machines, but focused his efforts on quality and customer service. In a very short time, he expanded the business to cater the demands of prominent brand names. In 2003, after moving to the US, he successfully secured a Western Wireless dealership for West Texas. He started the business with 2 locations, and with a growth mindset he expanded the business exponentially. He sold 16 retail stores in 2007. Later that year, he started a trading company importing polyester yarn from China, Vietnam and Malaysia and sold the raw materials to textile mills. In 2010, Faisal joined CVS Health in the underwriting division managing more then $3B in annual revenue.
In his spare time, Faisal enjoys traveling, hiking, watching movies, trying different ethnic foods and spending quality time with his family.
